GOODY

Goody is a research project that explorers the aesthetics of respectability, memory, and inheritance through the spatial practices of Jamaican mother's front rooms.

Often overlooked, these domestic interiors function as liminal sites - spaces where cultural identity is carefully curated, performed, and preserved. Drawing on theories of care, kinship, and spatial ritual, the project examines how the front room operates not just as decor, but as a form of cultural authorship and quiet resistance.

Goody asks what these spaces remember, what they protect, and how they continue to shape collective memory across generations. You can read paper her. Underline that sentence and include this paper.
