AESTHETICS OF RESILIENCE

The Aesthetics of Resilience explores the intersections of cultural identity, environmental vulnerability, and adaptive design within the Caribbean context. By examining liminal spaces such as intertidal zones, abandoned structures, and fragile landscapes, the course aims to equip students with critical tools to analyze and creatively respond to the psychosocial and material challenges of climate change. Through mapping, design interventions, and monograph development, students will engage with themes of fragility, memory, and resilience, crafting thoughtful, place-based responses that honor both historical narratives and contemporary needs.
